This week I was able to make a lot of progress in my arcade machine project. First, I visited carpentry to ask them if they could use a router to cut out part of the control board panel. They were able to do that, and you can see the result in the second picture below. Next, with the help of Milo and Mr.L, I was able to cut out part of the monitor board that was getting in the way. This can be seen in the last picture below. I used the bandsaw to cut out part of the piece. I had not foreseen doing this in my design, but it is what it is. I'm probably going to have to find some way to cover up the bottom of the laptop so it can still look good. Lastly, I finally put together the electronic parts of the arcade machine, and turned it on, which you can see in the first picture below. Overall, I got a whole lot of work done this week, and I have made a lot of progress toward finally being able to move on from this project, and being able to do something else with my time in the shop.
