This week I got a lot of work done on my PCB. On Monday, I completed both my Schematic for my PCB, and completed the Electronics Design. On Tuesday, there was no school, but on Wednesday, I milled my PCB and began soldering some of the components onto there. This process of milling PCB's is probably the thing that I am best at, other than CAD. I had to go to Metal Fabrication on Wednesday so they could assist in cutting some of the PCB boards in half so they could fit into the mill bed. On Thursday, I finished soldering and then hot gluing all of my components except for the 7 pin header that will be soldered to both the keypad and the PCB. I attached standoffs to the PCB and keypad so I could connect them, as seen in the picture below.
This week I didn't have a lot of time to get work done, since Monday was spent grading the Sophomores on their light Box project, and on Tuesday there was no school, since it was a professional development day for the teachers at MHS. However, through my own hard work, I was still able to make this a very productive week. I also still have to bring home my arcade machine or decide what I am going to do with it since I don't really know if I want it in my house.
