This week, I got some more work done on my arcade machine project. After last week, I knew that I had to redo some of the electronics if I am going to make it work in the spatial confinements that I have to deal with with the arcade machine. The limited volume on the inside of the arcade machine compelled me to find out a new way to arrange the electronics so that it can actually work properly, instead of working improperly, or worse: not working at all. Consequently, I took apart the laptop that I am using to run the game. I disassembled it with the help of a YouTube video, and fellow shop mate, Alexander Hickey. In the first picture below, you can see the disassembled laptop, as well as the laptop battery on the top of the picture. After disassembling the laptop, I figured out that I needed a mount for the battery of the laptop to where it connects to the electronics. In the second picture below, you can see the fusion CAD model of the battery, which will later feature the formerly mentioned mount that I will 3D print and attach to the electronics of the laptop. So, overall, I did get a lot of work done this week, but I still have a lot of work left to do. I also want to improve how my website looks, because ever since I had to change the look of the website to appease my shop teachers, I think it has kind of looked not good.
